Planting our pumpkin seeds

We took our seeds out of the bag after a week.  We looked at the seeds.

Lots of the seeds had roots.  Some didn't.

We put compost in the pots and put a little water on it.

We made holes with our fingers and put one seed with a root in each hole. The root faced down.

We covered over the seeds with more compost.

We put more water on the compost.

We put names on lollipop sticks and put the stick in the pots we planted.  Now we know which ones are ours.

We left our trays of pumpkin seeds in the greenhouse.  We think they will grow into pumpkin plants if we water them.  We will check on them next week and everyweek.
