Weekly walk, 22nd April

The sun was shining as we left the school.  Look at our shadows.  Do you know how a shadow is made?

We saw washing on a line.  This is the first time we've seen washing out.  What type of weather makes washing dry?

Less water is flowing down the burn. Can you think why?

The soil in the ditch is dry now.  Sometime it was muddy.  Sometimes we saw snow lying in it.

We shared things we know about plants.  Do you know anything about buttercups?

Do you know anything about dockan leaves?

The bushes are becoming green again as leaves grow.

This was the first time we saw grass cuttings on the grass.  We could smell fresh cut grass too.

This was the first day we felt like taking our coats off. The sun felt warm on our skin and there was no wind.
